Lesson 1

Create a wiki space at wikispaces

A wiki space is a web site you will use to store details of the work you complete.

After you create your wiki space, edit the home page by inserting the following text.

"This is my new wikispace - (your given name - not family name).

Then "INVITE" your teacher to join your space. Your teacher's email address is terry.fogarty@tphs.nsw.edu.au or you can invite your teacher as foggyterritory.

Lesson 2

The ICT Skills required in relation to Word Processing are:

4 Demonstrate basic word-processing skills as they create, work with and modify text documents

Use Microsoft Word to complete the following tasks. Save your word document and upload it to your wikispace,

a) Insert headers and footers

b) Create section and page breaks

c) Create multiple columns of text

d) Use tabs and indents

e) Use bullets and numbering

f) Create tables and format cell size

g) Set line spacing

Lesson 3

Create a word document on a topic of your own choice incorporating all of the features above. That is, your document must include:

• details in a header and a footer
• a section break and a page break
• multiple columns of text
• the use of tabs and indents
• bullets and numbering
• a table with formatted cells
• various line spacings

When you have finished your document, upload it to your wikispace.
